On January 20, 2018, Hai Ha Confectionery Joint Stock Company solemnly inaugurated its new confectionery factory at the VSIP Industrial Park, Phu Chan Commune, Tu Son Town, Bac Ninh Province.

Established in 1960, Hai Ha Confectionery has become a familiar brand to generations of Vietnamese consumers. Over more than 57 years of development, the company was continuously honored as a “High-quality Vietnamese Product” for 20 consecutive years (1997–2017). Beyond its strong domestic presence, Hai Ha has steadily expanded its international footprint, with products now available in 15 countries, including demanding markets such as the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

In response to growing demands in production capacity, revenue targets, and increasingly stringent standards for food safety and environmental protection, in 2011, Hai Ha Confectionery JSC invested in land use rights at the VSIP Industrial Park in Bac Ninh and launched a project to construct a new, modern factory. The project aims to develop a fully integrated technical infrastructure, including production workshops, office buildings, a canteen, auxiliary facilities, a power substation, a wastewater treatment plant, warehousing systems, water supply and drainage systems, gas and compressed air networks, internal roads, and green spaces. The goal is to relocate all existing production lines to this new facility. The new factory is designed with a modern, green–clean–beautiful orientation, strictly complying with food hygiene and safety standards, occupational safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection regulations.

With a strong commitment to developing a fully integrated and modern facility, the Company’s Board of Directors approved the project for the relocation and construction of a new factory at the VSIP Industrial Park in Bac Ninh.

After more than three years of construction, encompassing a total of 27 bidding packages and the involvement of contractors, design consultants, and construction supervision units, the Hai Ha Confectionery Factory has officially commenced operations. The facility fully meets all criteria for green, clean, and modern production, as well as fire safety and environmental protection standards.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Thanh - Party Secretary and General Director of the Company - acknowledged the valuable contributions of the company’s staff, the Project Management Board, technical teams, and mechanical workers directly involved in the construction process.

The commencement of operations at the Hai Ha Confectionery Factory marks a significant milestone in realizing HHC’s sustainable development strategy, reflecting the company’s determination to make a breakthrough and affirm its position as one of Vietnam’s leading confectionery manufacturers.
