On January 20, 2018, Hai Ha Confectionery Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony of the Hai Ha Confectionery Factory at the VSIP Industrial Park - Phu Chan Commune, Tu Son Town, Bac Ninh Province.

Established in 1960, over the past 57 years, the name Hai Ha Confectionery has become familiar to consumers across the country and was voted Vietnamese High-Quality Goods by consumers for 20 consecutive years (from 1997 to 2017). In the international market, Hai Ha’s products have increasingly affirmed their position - the company's products are now present in 15 countries worldwide, including highly demanding markets such as the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

In order to meet the Company’s continuous growth in production volume, sales, and compliance with food safety and environmental protection standards, in 2011, the Company invested in acquiring land use rights at the VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park and initiated procedures to construct the Hai Ha Confectionery Factory. The goal was to invest in a synchronized technical infrastructure system, including: production workshops, office buildings, canteen, auxiliary workshops, power substation, wastewater treatment station, warehouse system, water supply and drainage systems, gas and compressed air systems, transportation infrastructure, green spaces, and more - all aimed at relocating the entire existing production lines to a new modern factory that meets the criteria of being green, clean, and beautiful; ensures food hygiene and safety, occupational safety, fire and explosion prevention; and complies with environmental treatment standards.

With strong determination to invest in the development of a fully synchronized and modern new factory, the Board of Directors of the Company approved the project to relocate and construct the new manufacturing facility at the VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park.

After more than three years of construction, comprising a total of 27 contract packages and involving contractors, design consultants, and construction supervision units, the Hai Ha Confectionery Factory has officially commenced operations. The facility fully meets the criteria for green, clean, and modern production, as well as ensuring fire and explosion safety and environmental

protection standards.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of the Company - acknowledged and appreciated the positive contributions of the Company's staff, the Project Management Board, as well as the technical team and mechanical workers directly involved in the project.

The commencement of operations at the Hai Ha Confectionery Factory marks an important milestone in realizing HHC’s sustainable development strategy. It demonstrates the Company’s strong commitment to breakthrough growth and affirms its position as one of Vietnam’s leading confectionery manufacturers.
